Year One: Complete!

It has been quite the year! In January of 2025, I started digging into my new role with BCM International, and wowza, what a journey it's been so far!
January: New Beginnings

While I was beginning support-raising in 2024, it wasn't really until January that I really began leaning into the role. I set up my little cubicle and began working through vision and core values for the department. January also brought my first semester as an adjunct professor at Lancaster Bible College. As a teacher at heart, it was so fun being back in the classroom, although it was a bit weird to teach students who listen the first time you give instructions after years in the middle school classroom!
March: Albania Trip

In March, God sent me to a conference put on by the International Council for Evangelical Theological Education (ICETE). ICETE is the accreditation organization that gives value to all of the evangelical Bible colleges and seminaries around the world. There were 631 global leaders from 86 different countries, and we all serve with the goal of equipping ministry leaders and pastors around the world! I sat through sessions on theological education and learned more about the conversations surrounding the need for training, and I was able to reconnect with seminary friends who are in the same field, and hear more about their ministries.
May: Uganda Trip

In May I had the chance to connect with our ministry team in Uganda. BCM Uganda is only a four year old ministry, but God has already used them to not only reach Uganda, but also to train leaders in South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was a joy to hear more about their ministry and all God in doing. I was also able to participate in a ministry training think tank that was held in Kampala Uganda. Our think-tank team analyzed some of the key needs throughout East Africa and how to design a Bible-Theology-Ministry Training program to meet some of those needs. The conversations at that think-tank have already shaped how we are thinking about how we will design our ministry training curriculum.
Fall: Grant Application
At the end of October, we submitted a grant application, which was an enormous and exciting undertaking! If

God provides us with this grant, it would cover the costs of developing and publishing a ministry training curriculum for leaders with the most hurdles between them and Bible colleges/seminaries. This grant would also allow us to translate this curriculum into the top ten languages spoken globally as well as three additional languages that would be helpful within BCM's network of leaders. We are still waiting to hear back from the
December: New Teammates

In December, God has brought two teammates to my department! The first teammate was already part of BCM International. She has performed training in many countries around the world, she has taught in seminaries, and she has overseen several curriculum training projects in other roles she has served in. My second teammate is new to BCM and to missions as a whole. He has a background working in pastoral ministry, church planting, and even the business world. Both teammates are so gifted and bring very different strengths to the department. I am elated to work with both of them!
Reflections:
God has been so faithful throughout this year. I'm humbled by the opportunity He has give me to serve on such an incredible global team. It is such a blessing to hear all the ways that God is working through our team globally. For every story I share with you, there are hundreds, if not thousands more playing out globally.
As we prepare our hearts for Jesus's coming as a baby at Christmas, consider taking 3 min to watch the video below showing Luke 2 read by some of our missionaries around the world. These are just a handful of the 17,000 missionaries I get to serve alongside of globally within BCM. But, it is still a taste of heaven, where people from every tribe, tongue, and nation will praise God together.
Prayers and Praises:
Grant Application:
Update: we are still waiting to hear back from the trust we have applied for the grant from. This means that the answer isn't no, but we are learning patience in the waiting.
Pray that God will use the answer from the trust to guide our project decision-making throughout 2026.
Wisdom in 2026:
Praise God for all He has accomplished in this ministry throughout 2025.
Pray that God will give me wisdom in what to tackle and what to come back to in my ministry during 2026.
Partnership Development (Support-Raising):
Praise God that I am up to 28% funding! God has been faithfully bringing partners to be who are committed to pray and provide as I'm on this journey
Pray that God will lead me to those He has planned for me to partner with.
Current Support: 28% |
