Praising through our Blessings

There are sometimes I wonder what God's grin looks like.

Jesus told his disciples how God gives good gifts to those who ask Him. I can't help but wonder if there aren't moments when he waits with a grin on His face for us to discover the blessings that He has in store.

This month, I think He has been grinning especially wide, however that looks. We've been seeing His blessings all over.

The Blessings of Our New Office Home

In mid-September, BCM International moved to a new office building, and God's fingerprints were all over this move!

We needed to move spaces because our team was outgrowing our original office space on Granite Run Drive in Lancaster. However, as our moving team searched for a larger office space, they found a space that was not only larger, but significantly cheaper and nicer than our original one!

As we began looking at replacement cubicles and moving companies for the new space, God provided yet again! A Christian moving company donated their time and supplies to help us make the move into the new space. A large church had also received a donation of a set of modern office cubicles that they had no need for, so they donated a full set of cubicles to us!

As an organization, we were praying that God would lead us to a space that would allow us to better serve Him, and that He would provide a way to make that happen well. I think as He heard our prayers, He was just grinning and saying to Himself "Oh just you wait 'til you see what I've got for you!"

It's been a transition, but we are so abundantly blessed by all that God has done!

Grant Application: Complete!

A while ago, God brought a grant opportunity across our paths. We have applied for the grant specifically to fund the development and translation of a Ministry Leadership Training Program that my department is putting together.

ree

The application was robust and the process long, but it has been such a learning experience. This process has pushed me to think through the project in greater depth and to chew through the process and timeline for it. Even if we do not receive a penny back from the grant, the process has already been such a blessing! Whether we receive any money or not, BCM will still be developing this curriculum, so nothing will go to waste!

That being said, since submitting the application, we have been in correspondence with an employee from the trust to refine the application. All communication has been extremely positive, and we are very hopeful.

The Board of the Trust will be meeting in November to review our application and proposal. Please be praying for this process as we wait on God's will.

GracePoint Women's Retreat

ree

I have also been given the opportunity to speak at GracePoint Evangelical Free Church's 2025 Women's Retreat. The theme for the weekend is "Abide." During this time, we will be exploring what it means to find spirtitual health through abiding in Christ. We will be examining the three times that John engages the idea of abiding.

We will be exploring the idea of being with God and allowing His presence to permeate our lives instead of merely doing things for God and trying to earn his affections.

There is always some nervousness surrounding speaking engagements, and I would be lying if I

said there wasn't any over this one. However, I am also excited for it. The weekend has already been an enormous blessing for my own soul. Preparations for these sessions has pushed me to sit in these scriptures personally, and I have been convicted in my own walk throughout it.

Connections Needed!

In the midst of my ministry, I need your help.

ree

In John 15:5, Jesus says that "“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

It is through connection with the Lord that any fruit from our lives is even possible. Because of this, I am recruiting for my prayer army. If you are on my prayer list to receive updates, you already believe that prayer is important and changes things, so I would ask for you help. Can you help connect me with additional prayer warriors?

If there is someone you can think of who would resonate with the Ministry Leadership Training Ministry that I am doing, connect me with them! You can point them towards this site to sign up for my updates, or you can pass along my email address (rquerfeld@bcmintl.org).

Prayers and Praises:

Grant Application:

  • Praise God for the opportunity that He has brought to even apply for this grant. Even if we don't get a penny from the trust we're applying to, it has already pushed me to think strategically about several upcoming projects within the department.

  • Pray that God will give us favor with the board of the trust, and also peace with whatever outcome they decide.

GracePoint Women's Retreat

  • Pray that God will give me the words He wants me to say throughout the weekend.

  • Pray that God will prepare the hearts and minds of those attending so they are open to what God has for them from the time.

BCM Office Move:

  • Praise God for generous donors and partners who have covered many costs and supplies for the move.

  • Praise God for how He has generously provided for our needs and for our own joy in this new space.

Partnership Development (Support-Raising):

  • Praise God that I am up to 27% funding! God has been faithfully bringing partners to be who are committed to pray and provide as I'm on this journey

  • Pray that God will continue to make His will clear throughout this process.

  • Pray that God will lead me to those He has planned for me to partner with.
